General
- Barcodes added
New barcode generation functionality has been added. This means that a large number of new/different barcode formats can be used in various documents, such as the Process documentation and Queue reports, and then be scanned at the machine.
The barcodes are configurable both in terms of type, around 100 different available, and what data it should contain.
- Reminder: Discontinued Windows support
On January 14, 2020, Microsoft is ending support for their Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2 operating systems. As are we.
After January 14, 2020, we will no longer support Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 (R2) for AutoPOL software.
If you are still using AutoPOL software with these operating systems, we highly recommend that you upgrade to Windows 10 or newer version of Windows Server.
If you stay on these older operating systems after January 14, 2020, you can continue to use AutoPOL software released prior, but it will not be supported.
FCC Software will not be able to address defects or support items for software running on Microsoft operating systems no longer supported.
BendSim
- Parking of fingers
It is now possible to manually park the fingers in a specific position. This is done by locking the individual axes you do not want to move.
This is handy when you do not want to use them to gauge against, mayby using a laser line, or if you want to do some sort of special operation with a locked position.
The parking function is found where you numerically input the Z/R position and once they are parked, and you keep adding to the bend sequence, they will stay there until you un-park them again.
- Bend step delay
The bend step delay, when the fingers move from the current bend to the next, can now be set on each individual bend.
The delay method can be a time in seconds or the operator activating the step change.
Different controllers support different methods, so the options available is decided by what machine that is currently used.
- Tool management copy function
A new function to copy tool types and segmentation between different tool folders has been added.
This will simplify and speed up tool management, especially when the initial installation is done. But, for example, also when newly purchased tools needs to be added to a user tool inventory from the complete list of supplier tooling.
Batch & Remote
- Pre-Processing added
It is now possible to pre-process the parts in a job list. This means you can easily and quickly extract part info from the 3D files without running the full process.
This information can be for example the thickness, number of bends, part size, cutting length, number of contours and weight.
This information can be used for example in early stage quoting routines or production planning.
